Memorial Day Military Ceremonies and Events
The Presidio
This former military base now serves as a national park, with many visitors admiring its wooded areas, scenic vistas and sloping hills. The Presidio will be holding a Memorial Day Ceremony honoring the men and women who served with a Grand March with Veterans and the 191st Army Band, 21 Gun Salute and ceremony. Starting at 10:30am on Memorial Day, military members, family and friends will honor those who died for our country. The event is held in the National Cemetery and will last until around 1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Golden Gate National Cemetery
The 75th Annual Memorial Day Observance “Heroes Forever” will take place Monday, May 30th at 11am. There will be a band, guest speakers and rifles salute followed by a luncheon sponsored by the Avenue of Flags Committee. For more information, click here.
